Caran Properties, Inc. has been recognized in property management for its excellence by some of New York’s leading real estate organizations and publications over the past several years, both for the performance of the company and our people. In 2000, Caran Properties was named the “Management Company of the Year” by the Associated Builders and Owners of Greater New York (ABO) and its president, Sherry Frankel, was honored as one of the Women Real Estate leaders of the 21st Century.

Caran Properties was founded in 1988 by Sherry Frankel to be the selling agent for properties acquired by AFA Services, Inc., a real estate investment company. In 1993, Caran expanded its services and began to manage all of AFA’s properties in New York and around the country. The company expanded both its brokerage and management services to include non-AFA properties, offering the same approach and understanding of the importance of protecting and increasing the value of an asset. In the brokerage area, we also began to handle commercial and retail space.
